In the first meeting of the Radio Club during the second semester, President MacDonald Nyhen '36 last night demonstrated the operation of the new short wave transmitter which the executive committee has recently constructed.

The set, which is located in the Astronomy Laboratory on Jarvis Street, has already contacted Mexico, Spain, and Puerto Rico, as well as stations throughout the United States. Plans are being made to establish connections with the University's southern astronomical station at Bleemfontein, South Africa.
