Opening the season in the Metropolitan Pistol league, the Harvard Pistol Team lost its first match Wednesday night to the Tech. Faculty at the Memorial Hall range, 790 to 809. The match was fired at slow fire, twenty rounds per man.
High scoring honors for the Crimson went to Spencer D. Howe '37, varsity heavyweight boxer, who got 163 out of 200. Others who competed were Captain Louis G. Huntley '37, Cecil Barnes '37, Horace C. Arnold '38, Edward C. Read '40.
Monthly matches will be held in the Metropolitan League until February when postal matches will be held in the Intercollegiate Pistol League. Captain Lawrence B. Bixby is in charge of the team.
