Bolton, Hooper, Schoyer Finished One, Two, Three in Sophomore Football Competition

Robert Taft Whitman '38, of Greenwich, Connecticut, will succeed Walter H. Page, 2nd '37, as Varsity football manager, it was announced after the game in New Haven. As winner of the Sophomore competition last year and assistant to Page this fall, his succession to the Varsity post is automatic. Whitman is a graduate of St. Mark's School.

At the same time, Oliver Payne Bolton '39, of Cleveland, Ohio, was named the winner of the Sophomore competition. A graduate of Milton Academy, he will be Whitman's first assistant next year and Varsity manager as a Senior.

Roger Fellows Hooper, Jr. '39, of Manchester, was second in the Sophomore competition, and will manage the Junior Varsity team. Third man in the competition was Edward Holyoke Schoyer '39, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and as such will be in charge of the Freshman eleven in his Senior year.
