Eleven Freshmen are recent recipients of $4, 150 in scholarships from Harvard Clubs, it was announced yesterday. This brings the total number of first year men receiving Harvard Club awards this year to 34 and the total of their scholarship stipends to over $15,000.
The recipients announced today, and the Clubs making the donations are these: Milton P. Brown, of Rochester, N. Y., Harvard Club of Rochester; James A. Hermann, of Berkeley, Calif., William Thomas Scholarship of the Harvard Club of San Francisco; Edward F. Hindle, of Providence, R. I., Harvard Club of Rhode Island; Robert G. Noye, of Cambridge, Mass., Harvard Club of New Jersey; Earl L. Kahn, of Kansas City, Mo., Harvard Club of Kansas City;
Stephen L. Madey, of Buffalo, N. Y., Harvard club of Buffalo; Lester Rindler, of Lowell, Mass., Harvard Club of Lowell; Philip L. Strong of New Brunswick, N. J., Harvard Club of New Jersey; Roger L. Werner, of St. Louis, Mo., Harvard Club of St. Louis; Calvin Williams, of Hollis, Long Island, N. Y., the William Patton Boyd Scholarship of the Harvard Club of Long Island; and Paul N. Williams, of Hackensack, N. J., Harvard Club of New Jersey.
