"Clever" undergraduates who sign up for lockers in more than one athletic building can be detected within a very short time, it was revealed recently by the Department of Physical Education.
Following the prevailing system, each building is allotted a color for its locker application cards, and therefore two differently colored cards, appearing in the files under one student's name call for immediate investigation.
Further inquiry into the workings of the department showed that several fraudulent Freshman baseball and squash men have been put on probation for signing up for their respective sports and then neglecting to engage in them. In Dean Henry Chauncey's opinion this is just as much cheating as "cribbing" on examination papers and deserves the same punishment.
Regarding the number of athletic "cuts" allowed Yearlings, 15 unexcused absences is the maximum. Any Freshman having more than that number will be forced to make them up his Sophomore year.
