Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
Bolstered by their 36-35 win over Tufts Saturday night, the Varsity Dionneers will meet a small, fast Pennsylvania, five in the Indoor Athletic Building at 8:30 o'clock tonight.
Pennsyivania Favored Tonight
Although Pennsylvania is favored to win, if a the Crimson attack clicks tonight, there is every change of victory. To date the Quakers have won three and lost three encounters. It is significant, however, that each of the three defeats has been by a close score. In its first Intercollegiate encounter Saturday. Penn was edged by Dartmouth 34-33 in a wildly played game.
Returning a week before he was expected, Bill Gray, veteran center, who has been out with a knee injury, led the attack Saturday to score nearly half the Crimson's points and is expected to start tonight.
Jayvee Preliminary
A strong Tufts Jumbo quintet will meet the Jayvees in the preliminary at 6.45 o'clock. The Jumbos are a group of former college stars who are attending Tufts Dental School. As in past years, the Jumbos have a strong, experienced team, and are favored over the weak Jayvees.
Hauck and Wiley are the probable starting forwards, with Abel at center, and Stevenson and Lewis at the guard posts. In Tom Stevenson, who accounted for a large number of baskets against Teacher's College, lies the Crimson's hope of victory.
Freshmen Win
Still unbeaten this season, the powerful Freshman quintet steamrollered its way to a 33-10 victory over a fairly strong Jumbos outfit in a preliminary to the Varsity encounter Saturday.
