HYGIENE APPOINTMENTS FOR NEXT YEAR MADE

Marvin and Littlefield Reappointed; Medical Staff Will Be Much Larger In Fall Than Formerly

Appointments to the Hygiene Department, making way for the thorough reorganization under Dr. Arlie Vernon Bock, recently appointed Henry K. Oliver Professor of Hygiene, were announced today. The appointments are for a period of one year, beginning next September 1. They are as follows:

Alfred Kranes '26, M.D. '30 has been appointed Assistant Medical Adviser; Sven M. Gundersen, M.D. '29, has also been appointed Assistant Medical Adviser; Michael E. Murray, Jr., M.D. '32 has been appointed Assistant Medical Adviser; Laurence B. Ellis '22, M. D. '26 has been appointed Assistant Medical Adviser in charge of the Clinic at the Law School.

William F. Wood, M.D. Tufts '17 has been appointed Assistant Medical Adviser; Herbert D. Adams, M.D. '29, has been appointed Assistant Surgical Adviser; George F. Wilkins, M.D. '32 has also been appointed Assistant Surgical Adviser; Robert J. Joplin, M.D. '28, has been appointed Assistant Surgical Adviser in medical charge of the Freshman football squad.

Frank W. Marvin '10, M.D. '14 and Leland A. Littlefield, M.D.C.M. McGill '31 have been reappointed.

The following have resigned: Paul H. Means '17. Medical Adviser; Edward Harding '11, Surgical Adviser; John S. Hathaway '24, Assistant Medical Adviser.
