In its last race before the Yale encounter in June, the Varsity eight will match strokes with Penn and Navy for the Adams Cup tomorrow afternoon over the 1 3/4-mile course on the Severn River at Annapolis.
The undefeated Penn crew has beaten Yale and Princeton, both of whom were victors over the Crimson, while Navy has taken the shirts of Cornell also winner against Harvard. The seatings remain unchanged: stroke, Robert Cutler; 7, Bray; 6, Keyes; 5, Watson; 4, Saltonstall; 3, Eliel; 2, Drury; bow, Clark; cox, Bennett.
The Jayvees will meet the second boats of both Penn and Navy. The only comparative results show that before the shakeup in seatings two weeks ago, Harvard beat Prindeton, who in turn, has edged out Penn. Seatings in the Jayvee boat are: stroke, Roger Cutler; 7, Haskins; 6, Gardner; 5, Atherton; 4, Choate; 3, Lloyd; 2, Roosevelt; bow, Austin; cox, Hunter.
Rowing in the American Henley at Philadelphia, the Varsity 150's compete against Princeton, Yale, Penn, Navy, Cornell, and Columbia. A morning and an afternoon heat will probably be run in view of the number of entrants. The Harvard boatings are: stroke, Whitney; 7, Dall; 6, Carpenter; 5, Adams; 4, Bill; 3, Piper; 2, Hall; bow, Perry; cox, Barber.
The first Freshman boat meets the Navy plebes, with the following heating: stroke, Chance; 7, Twining; 6, Erickson; 5, Gardiner; 4, Clark; 3, Radway; 2, Scott; bow, Brooks; cox White. The third Freshmen will row against Exeter at Exeter.
