Christmas is coming
And, Harvard is humming
With carols and barrels of beer,
Metropolitan slumming
And dignified rumming
pro-claim that vacation is here!
For brotherly love
Is the keynote, I gather,
And no one can get to bad early
(l.e. note that Mather
Is out of his lather
And Curley has stopped being surly!)
Beneath every tower
The janitors cower,
But are they downhearted? (Yes, very!)
Oh there's nothing like Christmas
As hour by hour
Life in Harvard gets more and more merry!
Mount Auburn St. sinners
Are busy at dinners,
And some of us play on our zithers,
While other who've spent
All the cash they were sent
Are writing their fathers and mithers.
Dunster House men,
Men of Lowell and Leverett,
Kirkland and Claverly Hall,
Whether you're bound
For Bermuda--or Everett,
Here's Merry Christmas to all!
