Liberal Faculty Members to Join Teachers' Federation

Make Applications for Charter From A.F. of L. Organization

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Application for a charter from the American Federation of Teachers to set up a local chapter of this organization has been made by a group of 30 younger members of the Economics, Government, Sociology, and Philosophy Departments.

This follows an announcement made on October 9 that this liberal group of faculty members were planning to set up such an organization.

The purpose of the chapter is to make contact with the educational labor movement. In as much as the Federation is directly connected with the American Federation of Labor and is a powerful force in every State of the Union it will act as a medium through which unprogressive movements in the educational field may be attacked.
