SCHOOL FOR PRACTICAL GOVERNMENT FOUNDED

New Institution is Model West Point for Public Servants--Advocated by Will Durant

Long advocated by Will Durant and other writers of today, it school in practical government has actually been founded and will offer instruction "on location" in Washington next year with the cooperation of the federal government. A model "West Point" for public servants, the National Institute of Public Affairs will accept Juniors, Seniors, and graduate students specializing in political science and put them through an "internship" at the capital.

For the months of February and March, 1935, picked students will confer with high government officials on a tutorial basis. Operations of the major functions of the national administration will be witnessed at first hand and analyses prepared in conjunction with visiting professors and minor "brain-trusters."

Candidates for scholarship may receive application blanks from the Institution at 1001 15th Street, Washington. A faculty selection committee at each American college and University will nominate next fall the respective educational institution's quota of candidates for the scholarships next fall.
