Ever since Captain Eddle Loughlin of the Varsity nine and his mates opened the home stand on Soldiers Field against Columbia, scouts from the up-and-coming Boston Red Sex have been looking over the heaves of the slim pitcher in the hopes that he will be big league material at the end of the year.

No signing up has been done as yet but it is understood that the Red Stockings will get some Harvard player's name on the dotted line before June. Franny Gleason is another man with whom the Red Sox might like to have dealings.
