Starting on Monday, the main telephone switchboard of the University will be kept running twenty-four hours a day, including Sundays and holidays. Special operators will be kept on duty at all times so that any branch telephones on the main College line, University 7600, can be reached at any time of the day and night.

During the summer, a new switchboard will be installed in the basement of Lehman Hall with at least two more positions than the present system provides. Upon completion of this unit, the switchboards in the Athletic Association and the Biological Laboratories will be abolished.

About December 4, 1934, the dial system will be installed in Cambridge. Thereafter, the number of the main switchboard will be Kirkland 7600.
