Playing at M.I.T., the Harvard varsity lacrosse team has an excellent chance of making it three straight this afternoon. Convinced of its strong scoring power by it soverwhelming victories over Tufts 9-2, and Boston U. 18-1, the Crimson team will go into the game heavy favorites.
The return of John G. Duffey '35 and Irving W. Rabinovitz '34 from the injured list to the starting lineup will greatly aid the team in their effort to perfect a ne wtype of plays. William I. Adelman '36 will get the call over Edward A. Counihan, III '36 at goal by virtue of his cool work against B.U. Saturday.
The Harvard freshman lacrosse team will open its season against the Tufts 1937 team at 4 o'clock today on the Business School Field. The freshmen, on the basis of their unofficial scrimmages against the junior varsity and varsity, are expected to triumph easily. The team, under the able coaching of Nelson Cochrane '31, has shown marvelous prograss in stickwork and teamwork during its one month's practice.
The Harvard lineup will be--Fernald, g; Howe, cp; Glodt, p; Witherspoon, 1d; Popper, 2d; Thompson, c.; Levy, 2a; Hartshorne, 1a; Rubinow, oh; Bounakes, 1h.
