Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
In a final attempt to raise the prestige of Harvard basketball, Coach Wesley Fesler has issued a call for candidates for his spring practice sessions. All returning members of the Varsity and Jayvee squads, and those Freshman who are not competing in other sports this spring, have been requested to report at the New Indoor Athletic Building next Monday to begin the series of tri-weekly practices.
Spring basketball practice is a complete innovation at Harvard, and it is believed that it is the first time a major Eastern university has instituted such a move. The Harvard team won no League games this year, and is losing three veterans by graduation. They face an equally hard schedule next year, and the next four weeks will count heavily in the effort to attain playing experience and improved teamwork.
