TRACK MEN MEET TODAY TO GET INSTRUCTIONS

Farrell To Address Veterans and New Candidates--Princeton Meet Set for Saturday, May 5

Candidates for this year's track squad will meet Coach Eddie Farrell and John M. Morse '34, captain of the track team in the Dillon Field House this afternoon at three o'clock. Coach Farrell will speak to the men concerning the coming season and its rigorous schedule.

The team will be strengthened by the return of a large number of veterans of the 1933 aggregation. Edward E. Calvin '35 and Thomas F. Locke '35 are expected to star in both the 100 and 200 yard dashes.

With Locke, Carlisle Abell '35, John E. Rogerson '34, and Howard S. Derrickson '35, Harvard's prospects in the 440 look very bright. Herbert Jaques '37, the outstanding member of Milton's undefeated 1932 track team, will be a serious rival to these men although he cannot compete in the meets until next year.

Included in the list of milers who will again wear the Crimson are Alfred B. Hallowell '34, Charles F. Woodard '35, John P. Scheu '35, Captain Jack Morse and Anthony A. Bliss '36. Robert S. Playfair of cross-country fame will run the two-mile.

The three scheduled meets, all on Saturday, are Princeton, May 5, Dartmouth, May 12; and Yale, May 19. The dates for the Greater Boston Intercollegiates and the Handicap Meet here have not been announced. Freshmen who are planning to compete for managerial positions should be at the H.A.A. at 1.30 o'clock today.
