To handle the crowds which will approach the Stadium on foot this afternoon, the Traffic and Police Departments of Boston and Cambridge have closed many of the streets around the Square to automobiles.
The streets which will be closed to vehicular traffic are:
Boylston Street from Mr. Auburn Street to Soldiers Field Road between the hours of 1.00 and 2.15 o'clock and 3.45 and 5.30 o'clock.
Memorial Drive from DeWolf Street to Mt. Auburn Street between the hours of 1.00 and 2.15 o'clock and 3.45 and 5.30 o'clock.
Eliot Street from Brattle Square to Boylston Street between the hours of 1.00 and 2.15 o'clock and 3.45 and 5.30 o'clock.
Winthrop Street from Brattle Square to Dunster Street between the hours of 1.00 and 2.15 o'clock and 3.45 and 5.30 o'clock.
South Street from Dunster Street to Boylston Street between the hours of 1.00 and 2.15 o'clock and 3.45 and 5.30 o'clock.
Parking of vehicles is prohibited on Boylston Street from Eliot Street to Memorial Drive, between the hours of 8.00 and 5.30 o'clock.
The operator of a vehicle shall not make a left turn from Western Avenue into North Harvard Street, southerly; nor from Western Avenue into Spurr Street, southeasterly, between the hours of 11.30 A. M. and 2.30 P. M.; nor from Spurr Street into North Harvard Street, northerly, between the hours of 4.00 and 5.30 o'clock.
Automobiles that wish to park in the H. A. A. parking space are requested to proceed by convenient route to the corner of Cambridge and North Harvard Streets, thence North Harvard Street to Western Avenue and the entrance to the H. A. A. field.
Taxicabs coming through Cambridge and along Memorial Drive are requested to turn left at Putnam Square into Putnam Avenue to Flagg Street and Flagg Street to Memorial Drive where they may unload their passengers at Mac Nameo Square which is at the Cambridge end of the John W. Weeks Bridge.
Taxicabs may be procured at the etc of the game at the H. A. A. parking field opposite the bowl end of the Stadium.
All subway trains leaving Park Street between 12.56 P. M. and 1.48 P. M. on Saturday will run to the Stadium Station.
