Despite a stirring rally in the last five minutes of play, the Varsity basketball team was overcome 42-36 by Boston University in the latter's gym Saturday night. Throughout the first two periods the contest was nip and tuck, but toward the end of the third quarter the Terriers began to show their teeth, and succeeded in amassing a 42-28 lead.

At this point, Don Comfort, bulky Crimson guard, found the hoop three times in a row from half way out, and followed up with a foul shot. After another gratis shot scored by Gene Merry, B. U. was frightened into freezing the ball, which they did successfully until the final gun. The Freshman cagers defeated Andover 29-14 Saturday afternoon in the Indoor Athletic Building. At the conclusion of the game Leavitt White of Plainfield, New Jersey, was elected captain of the 1937 squad.
