CHAIRMEN CHOSEN FOR FOUR BOARDS OF 1937 RED BOOK

Former Editors Will Speak at Meeting For All Freshmen Wishing to Try Out For Red Book Staff

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Chairmen of the four boards of the Freshman Red Book, who were appointed yesterday by C. Coleroy Gibson, Editor-in-chief, are Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Jr, of Washington, D. C., business chairman; Leavitt Sargent White of Plainfield, New Jersey, editorial chairman; John Bradford Bowditch of Concord, photographic chairman; Arnett McKennan of Boston, art chairman.

The newly elected chairmen met last night and decided to initiate competitions for the various Boards at a meeting to be held tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock in the upper common room of the Union. The Chairmen urge all Freshmen who are interested in trying out for the Red Book staff to attend. No experience will be required for any of the Boards. The staff, according to the Editor-in-chief, will, however, be smaller than usual, so that "the competitions will be more intense and the honor of being a member will be greater." At the meeting tomorrow night, several former editors of the Red Book will be present, and will describe to the candidates the duties of the Boards.

This year for the first time the Red Book will have a definite office, to be announced later, where all work will be done. Other innovations were suggested last night, among which was the proposal of McKennan, art chairman, to introduce into the year book etchings of the buildings in the Yard.

The Notman Studio will take the pictures for the book as usual, and the photographic chairman requests that all Freshmen who have not yet had their pictures taken make appointments with the Studio immediately.

It is expected that the price of the book will be the same as last year.
