Winning four singles and two doubles matches, the Jayvee tennis team defeated the 1936 netmen by the score of 6-3. The contest, held at the Divinity Avenue courts, was featured by several hard fought, extra-game sets.

Singles--C. Helmholtz '36 defeated F. W. Jones, Jr. '35, 2-6, 6-3, 9-7; F. P. Whitbeck '35, defeated R. W. Gilder '36, 6-3, 7-5; W. E. Ingalls '35 defeated G. S. Franklin '36, 6-3, 6-8, 6-4; J. A. Roberts '36 beat Morton McMichael '33, 6-3, 8-6; Sumner Rodman '35 defeated A. C. Reggio '36, 6-2, 6-1; M. P. Richmond '34, defeated G. G. Glidden '36, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.

Doubles--Helmholtz and Gilder ('36), defeated Jones and Whitbeck (J.V), 13-15, 6-4, 6-4; Richmond and Rodman (J.V.) defeated Glidden and Reggio ('36), 9-7, 6-3; Ingalls and McMichael (J.V.) defeated Franklin and Roberts, 6-2, 6-3.
