HURD AND WALKER WINNERS IN UNIVERSITY FENCING MEET

Graduates Capture Seconds As Other Varsity Men Trail

John Hurd '34, first Varsity foils man, and captain-elect of the 1934 Harvard fencing team and H. P. Walker '33, and present Varsity captain, won the epee and sabre titles, respectively, in the University Fencing championships at the Indoor Athletic Building yesterday.

W. M. Lobenstine 2L, former Princeton fencer, won second place after a fence-off with Isador Miller '35, while G. M. Yatsovitch '33, Second Varsity foils man took fourth.

R. B. Lawson 1M, last year's captain, captured the runner-up position in the sabre competition with E. A. Ackerman '34, Yatsevitch, and J. A. Weber '35 taking third, fourth, and fifth places.
