If the Corporation does not submit a name for the new president of Harvard University at the meeting of the Board of Overseers this afternoon, it is extremely unlikely that a president will be elected before next autumn. The reason for this is that the general policy of the Overseers requires a lapse of several weeks between the submission of the name by the Corporation the next two meetings of the Overseers come on May 8, and June 22, but the latter date would be probably unsatisfactory for any announcement.
