NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Officials in charge of the recent Classical and Pi Eta Club plays announced that their theatrical productions last week had made clear profits despite the depression. The Classical Club play "Philoctetes" was produced last Wednesday and Friday and the Pi Eta comedy "Penthouse Preferred" last Thursday and Friday.

At the first presentation of "Philoctetes" 197 people were present, and at the second 242. The total gate receipts amounted to $400, of which about $60 or $65 is net profit. The Pi Eta comedy was only open to the public on Friday in accordance with the established custom of reserving the first performance for graduates who formerly belonged to the Club. It is estimated that the total receipts will be about $600, a large part of which will be devoted to charity.
