Spring football practice will begin on Monday afternoon, E. L. Casey '19. Varsity football coach, announced last night. Practice is open to all undergraduates, whether they have had any previous experience or not. There will be only one squad, and it will be coached by the coaching staffs of the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman teams.

The practice will last for four weeks, two weeks before the April vacation and two weeks after it. The principal object of the session is to give the candidates for next year's squad a better grounding in the fundamentals of the game, in order to save valuable time next fall. Casey is planning frequent scrimmages between the various teams which will be formed from the squad, as well as drill in fundamentals such as blocking and tackling. It was learned yesterday that Wesley Fesler, whose appointment as assistant backfield coach was announced Monday, will not be able to take up his duties until the fall.

This announcement marks the resumption of annual spring practice, which was carried on only very informally, last year, consisting of workouts in the cage for a few weeks. Candidates should report to Coach Casey at 8 o'clock Monday in the Dillon Field House.
