HARVARD 1893 RELAY TEAM SEES YALE EDGE TRACKMEN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Among the witnesses of the unsuccessful Harvard relay team at the B.A.A. track meet Saturday night were Norman W. Bingham '93, Charles Brewer '96, William F. Garcelon '95, and S. M. Merrill '94, who constituted Harvard's first relay team.

Exactly forty years ago, on February 11, 1893, they ran against Yale in the B.A.A. games, winning by over thirty yards. Their time was 3 minutes, 22 3-5 seconds, which is 4 2-25 seconds faster than that of Yale on Saturday.
