GERMAN FILMS WILL BE SHOWN IN SECOND TERM

Alfred C. Denig '35 Heads Committee Patronized by Mrs. Arthur Burkhard To Organize Program

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A committee has been formed, headed by Alfred C. Denig '35, and including Elwood K. Salls '34 and Richard F. Davis '34, to forward presentation of German, films at Harvard. Mrs. Arthur Burkhard, wife of the professor of German, is to be the patroness.

Since the discontinuance of the Fine Arts Theatre, the desire for a series of German films sponsored either through the University or other interested sources, has become at last realized, although no definite plans as concern organization or financial ends have yet been decided upon.

As it is expected that the films will be shown in the Geographical Building, and since it is not permitted to charge admission to this building it is probable that subscription methods will be used to raise the money necessary to procure films. Showing of the pictures will start after the Mid-Year examination period it is hoped.
