RED FERRY BOAT PROPOSED FOR WINTHROP CREW ENSIGN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A red ferry boat is the central design on a new crew ensign which will be submitted soon to members of John Winthrop House for approval. The field will be white, and of a triangular shape.

The flag is the creation of Eugene duBois '33, a resident of the House, and if it is accepted, will probably be carried on all the boats of the House in their subsequent victories or defeats. This is the first time that the idea of an ensign has been proposed in any of the Houses. The ferry is of the side-wheeler variety.
