The south wall of the Kirkland quadrangle threatens to become the College aviary. An ornithologist has discerned 15 species, among which are: two varieties of chickadee, a ruby-crowned kinglet, a black and white junco, a nuthatch, a downy woodpecker and forlorn cedar waxwing.
