In a meeting to be held this Thursday morning at 9 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall, the various fields of concentration will be outlined to the entire Freshman Class. The speakers at the meeting will be President Lowell, Professor E. A. Whitney '17, Assistant Professor and Tutor in History and Literature, and Dr. A. E. Hindmarsh, Assistant Dean of Harvard College.
President Lowell will speak on choosing a field while Professor Whitney will discuss the tutorial system and the house plan. Dr. A. E. Hindmarsh will outline the steps which every Freshman must take in announcing his field of concentration.
Study cards and a pamphlet on choosing a field will be sent to the Freshmen before April 10. The choice of the field must be made before April 14, at which time each Freshman should submit a study card for next year, and a plan for his whole college course. This plan should indicate what courses he intends to take to satisfy the requirements for concentration and distribution.
All Freshmen should report to the meeting this Thursday morning in order to consider the choice of a field of concentration. Freshmen will be excused from attendance at classes at this hour.
