POOL AWARDED MAJOR H FOR EXCELLENCE OF YEAR'S PLAY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Announcement of the awarding of a major H to Beekman Pool '32, of New York City, a member of the University squash team, was made yesterday by the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports. This award is made in recognition of his winning the Intercollegiates, National, Canadian, State, and Gold Racquets Championships in squash this season.

It is the second award of a major H to a member of a minor sport team by the Athletic Committee. B. S. Wood '33, the present captain of the University swimming team, was awarded a major H in 1931 after he won the National Intercollegiate 440-yard swim.

Pool is the son of Dr. E. H. Pool '95.
