McGill Triple Star Slated to Swim in 220 Against Wood--Keville Will Dive For Harvard

Pitting their strength against Canada's best, the University mermen will swim tonight against a combined McGill and Toronto team in Harvard's first international swimming meet. The opening event will be run off at 8 o'clock in the pool of the Indoor Athletic Building.

While the Canadians' 41 to 29 defeat Saturday night at the hands of Brown, which fell a victim to Harvard three weeks ago, seems to leave little question as to the outcome, the visitors will have in Bourne of McGill a swimmer who should cause a good deal of trouble in several events. After breaking the local records in the 220 and 440 Saturday night, he took the 100 from Lewis, Brown's star sprinter, who was barely edged out in this race by B. S. Wood '33 during the Harvard-Brown meet.

The feature event of the evening should be the 220, which will bring together Bourne and Wood in a race new to Harvard's versatile captain. Bourne was clocked at 2 minutes, 22 seconds against Brown. Coach Ulen was undecided last night as to what other events Wood will enter, but it is probable that he will face McGill's crack natator again before the evening is over.

E. V. Keville '33 will dive in place of either J. P. Duane '32 or Sidney Bluhm '32. Neither J. L. Ward '34 nor H. V. Atherton '32, both of whom had appendicitis operations during the Christmas vacation, will swim tonight, although they may be back in the lineup before the end of the season.

E. E. Stowell '34 and E. G. Helvenston '33 will swim for Harvard in the backstroke; G. C. Larcom '33 and A. C. Dearing, Jr. '34 in the breast stroke.

In the absence of Wood in the 440, Coach Ulen has available T. H. Jameson '33, E. C. Devereaux '34, and G. D.Winsor '34. One of these men will probably also swim the 220. For the sprints he has E. P. Parker '34, George Wightman '34, R. D. Fallon '33, and N. M. Howe '34.
