W. J. Bingham '16, director of Harvard athletics, left yesterday afternoon for Hanover, New Hampshire, to attend the opening meeting of the football rules committee today. Mr. Bingham is one of the representatives from the eight different districts.
The chief subject under discussion will probably be the question of injuries which caused so much commotion in the fall and in regard to which Fielding Yost, athletic director at the University of Michigan, has drawn up a statement to be presented to the rules committee, asserting that an unwarranted number of deaths have been charged to football.
