Approximately 30 men reported to Coach Gallagher at the initial official meeting of all candidates for the Varsity Wrestling team held yesterday afternoon in the New Gymnasium. Among the lettermen of last year present at the meeting were Captain P. O. Johnson '34, R. G. Ames '34, and Gridley Barrows '34.

Coach Gallagher addressed the candidates yesterday, and stated that "training and knowledge are the most important factors in producing a good wrestler." Following this talk, Captain Johnson spoke a few words, saying in part "that although the team will have to face a hard schedule this year, in view of the exceptionally large number of experienced men returning, the team should even better its record of last year, when they lost but one meet."

Among the other promising candidates are S. L. Washburn '35, a star of last year's Freshman team, Harold Frankel '34, and D. V. McGranahan '35, captain of the first-year team last winter. Practice will be held daily beginning at 4 o'clock in the New Gymnasium.
