Lee Beatty of Worcester Academy travelled 50 yards in the second period to give his team a 6-6 tie with the Harvard Freshman on the second varsity field Saturday. The Harvard score came in the fourth period when Jackson completed a lateral pass thrown him by Sullivan.
The first score was tallied against the Freshmen this year when Beatty fought his way off tackle and went up the field to score a touchdown. Worcester Academy was on its way to a second score when Jackson intercepted a pass on his own 15-yard line to stop the rally at the end of the first half.
Fitz, playing in Gibb's place in the Harvard Freshman backfield, bore the brunt of the ball carrying in the third period until his fumble deep in the Worcester territory cost him his prestige.
Jackson then intercepted another pass, this time on the 18-yard line and Harvard held for downs on the 4-yard tape a few minutes later. After an exchange of kicks, Janien brought a first down on the Worcester Academy 30-yard line, and Sullivan's pass to Jackson for 20 yards was completed in a touchdown by Jackson's ten yard run.
