The Varsity soccer team went down to defeat before the superb individual playing of the Graduate team, 4-2, in the first game of their annual fall series, played Tuesday. The sharpshooting foot of W. D. Vogel '30, former Crimson star, accounted for three of the four Graduate tallies. The Harvard alumni showed up best, while Yale graduates failed to come up to expectations. J. P. Faude '31, All-American goalie for two years, played a brilliant game.

An informal scrimmage between mixed graduate and undergraduate teams was played yesterday morning. The remaining games of the series will be played early next week. The Varsity plays Penn State Saturday. The second Freshman team is scheduled to meet Laxiugion High School tomorrow afternoon.
