CLASS CREW ROWS 1 3-4 MILE COURSE IN BASIN

Rowing over the milo and three-quarter distance in the Charles River basin yesterday, the Junior Class crew, stroked by A. H. Parker '32, was timed at 9 min., 22 sec. This will be its last row at a high stroke before the race with the Yale Championship Class crew on the Charles tomorrow. The first Union Boat Club crew paced the class shell as far as the Henley finish, being clocked at 7 min, 29 sec.

Although last night it could not be determined whether both the first and second Union Boat Club eights would join the University 150-pound navy in a race over the Henley distance in the Basin this afternoon, it is assumed by the coaches of the respective armadas that they would. The lightweight flotilla, which has been given light workouts during the first part of the week, is schedules to contend over the Henley tomorrow, in its last time-trial of the week. A recent shake-up has relegated John Wiggins, '33, and C. C. Campbell '33 to the second boat, with G. L. Dow '33 and L. L. Filstrup '33 rowing in their former places, respectively. The squad will leave for Philadelphia next Thursday, there to engage in the American Henley regatta.
