Alumni of the Harvard Theological School will return to the University today and tomorrow for the annual visitation. A series of conferences and lectures has ben planned, including the Dudleian Lecture to be given this afternoon by Professor John Baillie, and the Ingersoll Lecture tomorrow afternoon by Professor J. S. Bixler. At 8 o'clock this evening in Emerson D Alfred North Whitehead, professor of Philosophy, will give a public lecture on "The New Reformation".
Dudleian Lecture by Baillie
Following the opening devotional service in Andover Chapel at 2.30 o'clock by Professor W. L. Sperry, dean of the School, the Dudleian Lecture on Bevealed Religion on the subject "Priesthood in the Modern World" will be given by Baillie, Roosevelt Professor of Systematic Theology in the Union Theological Seminary. He will be followed by Pitirim Sorokin, professor of Sociology, in an address of "Present Religious Conditions in Rusia". After a tea at 4.30 o'clock the Reverend Mr. E. C. Davis of Concord, New Hampshire will conduct a service in Divinity Chapel.
The Reverend Mr. John Haynes Holmes will speak on "Ten Years of the Community Church" at the meeting of the alumni in Divinity Chapel at 10.30 o'clock tomorrow morning. The luncheon will be served at 1 o'clock in the Farrar Room. At 3 o'clock in Andover Chapel, Professor Bixler, head of the Department of Religion, Smith College, will deliver the Ingersoll Lecture on the Immortality of Man on the subject "Immortality and the Present Mood". A service in Divinity Chapel will be conducted at 5.30 o'clock by the Reverend Mr. W. S. Jones of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The final assembly of the alumni will be for a dinner to be served in the Harvard Union at 6.20 o'clock tomorrow night.
