Schedules for winter sports among the Houses and fraternities, together with the dates for four squash tournaments, were released yesterday by A. W. Samborski '26.
Practice for basketball, swimming, and squash teams of the seven Houses, as well as the Ramblers, will begin at once and will continue until the beginning of the respective seasons during the week of December 13. T. E. Farrell 1L, captain of last year's University team, will be in charge of basketball on Court 1 of the Indoor Athletic Building between 2 and 4 o'clock every day. W. C. Ament 2L and Frank Vaughan will be available for instruction in swimming at any time and E. C. Haggerty '27 will coach the track teams at Soldiers Field.
Squash tournaments for the Law School and the Graduate School, as well as the regular University tournament, will get under way on Thursday, December 10, and the Freshman tournament four days later on Monday, December 14.
The dates for the inauguration of winter sports in the fraternity leagues are as follows: Indoor Baseball, Monday, December 7; Squash, Monday, December 14; Basketball, Wednesday, January 6; and Handball, Monday, January 11. The basketball and indoor baseball games will be played during the evening at the Hemenway Gymnasium. The following fraternities are expected to enter some or all of these tournaments: Alpha Chi Sigma, Kappa Sigma, Sigma Epsilon, Sigma Alpha Mu, Kappa Nu, Alpha Mu Sigma, Tau Epsilon Phi, Delta Upsilon, Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Epsilon Pi, Phike Club, 54 Club, and St. Paul's Catholic Club.
