CAST OF "CHARLES AND MARY" PICKED BY DRAMATIC CLUB

Wordsworth and Coleridge are Among Historical Figures Represented in Cast of Play

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Selection of the cast of "Charles and Mary," fall production of the Harvard Dramatic Club, was completed yesterday, following try-outs open to Harvard and Radcliffe students. The play is based on the lives of Charles and Mary Lamb and with the possible exception of a few minor parts all the characters had their counterparts in actual life. Rights for production were received from the author, Joan Temple, this morning and rehearsals will begin at once.

Casting of the play offered unusual difficulties because of the necessity of providing for a certain amount of physical resemblance between the members of the cast and the historical figures they interpret. Make-up and dress will play a large part in the effectiveness of the performance and special attention will be given to settings and the creation of the proper background.

J. F. Joyce '33, who plays the part of Charles Lamb is president of the Dramatic Club and Jane Mast, Radcliffe '32 is chairman of the dramatic committee of the Idler Society. The complete cast is as follows: Charles Lamb  J. F. Joyce '33 Mary Lamb  Jane Mast Mr. Lamb  H. G. Hutchinson '34 Mrs. Lamb  Rosemary McHogh Becky  Emeline Hill Jane  Barbara Wertheim '33 William Godwin  W. S.
