Poughkeepsie, New York, Nov. 14--In a close game here today the Vassar Junior University team defeated an aggregation of Yale athletes in field hockey. Although the Eli players had only had a few weeks practice, they gave their opponents some trouble before the latter finally pulled through for a win by a 3 to 2 score.

The lineup of the Blue team, composed mainly of ice hockey stars, was as follows: Winter, Iglehart, Bostwick, Wilmording, Phipps, Clarke, Gambel, Knott, and Smith. Although not particularly rough, the contest was marked by a number of hard falls.
