Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
All House residents, both undergraduate and graduate, may compete for their units in any sport, it was voted at a recent meeting of the inter-House athletic committee. The ruling is qualified to the extent that graduates who were lettermen in any sport during their college career may not compete in that sport.
Men who are not affiliated with any House, together with dropped Freshmen, and who are anxious to participate in athletics, will meet tomorrow, A. W. Samborski '26, secretary in charge of House athletics, announced last night. To this group, which will be designated the "Ramblers", and which will be a member of the inter-House leagues, will be added those House squads not large enough to form teams. If, for example, in a certain House there are a number of soccer enthusiasts, but not enough to form a team, they will report with the Ramblers soccer squad.
A football game has been scheduled between Dunster and Adams Houses for Thursday. More gridiron candidates are needed from these two Houses, and from Kirkland House.
Touch football will be started as soon as enough fields are free, Samborski states. It is expected that leagues will be organized for three weeks of competition, beginning a week before the close of the House football season.
