Tonight in the Robinson Hall Annex entries for the annual cup competition of the Topiarian Club of the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture will be judged by a committee of three, composed of men not at present officially connected with the school. More than 30 drawings have been submitted by members of the second and third year groups, who were required to enter the competition, and by members of the first year class who were permitted to enter if they so chose.
The problem, which was to be solved during the three days of Monday, January 5, Tuesday, January 6, and Wednesday, January 7, required the drawing of a design "for the complete development of a tract of land, situated on a hillside about 100 feet above a large lake, as a unit of four house lots."
First, second, third, and honorable mention are the places to be awarded by the judges. The winner will have his name engraved upon a silver drinking-mug which is kept in the library of Robinson Hall. The judges who will award the decision are: H. H. Blossom, a graduate of the school who is now practicing in Boston; H. V. Hubbard '97, Charles Dyer Norton Professor of Regional Planning, and chairman of the council of the School of City Planning; and H. J. Kellaway, who is practicing in Boston.
