BUSINESS SCHOOL DORMS ARE FOUND INADEQUATE

For the first time in its history the Harvard Business School will be unable to furnish accommodations in its dormitories for all the students enrolled there this year. There is room in the buildings for about 900 while the enrollment in the school is expected to number about 1100.

In the last few years Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors in the college have secured rooms in the dormitories of the Baker Foundation but this year rooms are being given only to business students.

The enrollment this year is the largest since the founding of the school. Six hundred and fifty students are entering the first year class while the second year class numbers about 450. This increase in enrollment and the shortage of rooms strongly testify that the remarkable growth in prestige of the school is having its effect in the great demand for admission.

The number of applications for entrance to the Business School this fall has exceeded all previous records. Approximately 1250 people applied for admission. This represents a 25 percent increase over last year.
