Harvard Men Win Morning Foursomes Only to Drop Majority of Singles Contests in Afternoon

After winning from their Blue rivals by the score of 2 to 1 in the morning four-ball matches, the University golf team dropped two of its four singles matches in the afternoon to lose to the Yale team by a 5 to 4 score at Myopia Hunt Club yesterday. In the deciding round of the match, Captain Forrest of Yale defeated Phillips Finley '31, Crimson leader 2 up.

Individual matches Forrest (Y) defeated Phillips Finely '31 2 up: Wilson (Y) defeated W. P. Arnold '31 2 and 1: Swope (Y defeated C. S. Eaton '32 4 and 3; E. B. Murphy '31 defeated Reece (Y) 5 and 3; J. B. Baldwin '31 defeated Merwin (Y) 2 and 1; A. E. Howard (Y) defeated Leonard Wood '31 3 and 2.

Foursomes--Finley and Baldwin defeated Forrest and Wilson (Y) 1 up: Murphy and Arnold defeated Reece and Swope (Y) 4 and 3: Howard and Merwin (Y) defeated Eaton and Wood 2 and 1.
