LANE ANNOUNCES OPENING OF FRESHMAN LACROSSE SEASON

University Squad Now Working Out Daily on Soldiers Field

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Candidates for the Freshman lacrosse team are to report in the Newell Boat House at 5 o'clock today according to an announcement by J. H. Lane '28, graduate secretary of Phillips Brooks House and coach of last year's Freshman team, who will again serve as mentor this year. "Previous experience," Lane states, "is not at all necessary, as very few men have played lacrosse before coming to Harvard."

The University squad is now working out daily on Soldiers Field with emphasis being laid on passing and receiving. Voluntary practice is held Saturdays for those who are able to attend.
