Ogden Phipps '31. University No. 1 man, started the squad on the road to victory by defeating Haynes in a close four game match, 15-13, 12-15, 15-10, 15-11. N. F. Glidden '31 waged the most strenuous match with Bosler, winning finally by 15-11, 15-12, 8-15, 14-18, 17-14.
