NORWOOD REVERSES VIEWS, DECLARES HARVARD VICTOR

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A Norwood audience reversed its own opinion of the Baby Volstead Act last night and declared Harvard a 64 to 50 victor against Princeton on the basis of its ability to advocate the repeal of the Massachusetts prohibition enforcement law.

A vote of 65 to 52 in favor of the act itself was cast by the audience but the strength of the Harvard case sufficed to award F. S. Fiechter '32 and Philip Cohen '31 the laurels for superior presentment of the argument. These two men, who up-held the repeal of the amendment against G. W. Oakes '30 and C. H. Kreder '32 of Princeton in the first intercollegiate debate ever held in Norwood, will reverse their arguments when they oppose Boston College in Symphony Hall on Thursday evening on the negative side of the question.
