The fact that on Saturday two Dartmouth players and one member of the Harvard team collided with the wooden fence i the Stadium hard enough to necessitate a time out makes one wonder why it is necessary for such a hazard to remain. It seems remarkable that no one has been hurt in this way before, and there is no reason to believe that some one may not be seriously injured in the future. A canvas fence with padded posts would serve all the requirements of the present fence, and greatly reduce the danger of serious injury to the players.
