BROADBENT ELECTED CAPTAIN OF UNIVERSITY SOCCER TEAM

Harvey Hammond Broadbent '32, of New Bedford, was elected captain of the Harvard University soccer team at a meeting of the lettermen held yesterday afternoon. He prepared for Harvard at New Bedford High School.

Broadbent played on the 1932 Freshman team, as well as the University teams of 1929 and 1930. His position is inside right forward. The University soccer team this year tied with Yale and Pennsylvania for the leadership of the Intercollegiate Soccer League; Harvard won seven of its eight games, losing only to Yale, 1 to 0.
