SECOND HIGH TABLE AT LOWELL HOUSE

The second in the series of Monday evening High Table dinners at Lowell House was held last night, with British Ambassador to the United States Lindsay, as guest of honor. Other persons at the High Table included the Rector of Exeter College, Oxford, G. R. Agassiz '84, chairman of the board of Overseers, Professor R. M. Ferry '12, master of John Winthrop House, Professor G. F. Chase '96, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and William Phillips '00, former Ambassador to Canada from the United States.

Following the dinner, the students remained in the dining room for a group discussion of the high table idea, and for the settling of other matters in connection with the routine of the House. In discussing the high table, Mason Hammond, head tutor, stated that the plan was conceived for the purpose of entertaining well known alumni and other notables interested in Harvard College and especially the House Plan.

John Trainor '31, of the House committee, then announced rules governing the use of the squash courts, after which arrangements were made for the organization of stand-up lunches before football games, at which times members of the House will be able to entertain any guests they may have. After the Springfield game this Saturday there will be a tea in the Common Room, and if this proves successful it will be instituted as a regular feature following all the games.

Further discussion brought forth requests for pay telephones, which will be installed in the near future. Plans were also made for the organization of a House football team and crew, these groups to compete in the Intramural league.
